Roulette, meaning "little wheel", is a casino game that lets a player or group of players place a variety of bets on the table while a ball is spun around the wheel. The ball's final resting place decides whether or not the players wins his/her bet. The roulette wheel has 37 numbers (European style) or 38 numbers (American style). Both variations have 1-36 and 0, but the American version also has 00. In both styles of the game the player is paid out 35:1 when a direct number is hit meaning the European version is always a smarter choice for the player.

In a live casino, when the ball finally falls into a number on the wheel, the dealer will place a marker on that number on the table and then sweep all the losing bets from the table before paying out the winners. This only takes a second or two when playing at an online casino.
